Literacy
In Reading, we will:
- Read and identify features of biographies
- Use top level structures as we explore biographies
- Take part in Daily Review word sessions to enhance/extend students’ vocabulary
- Present a text of the person we interviewed and wrote a biography on, as part of Speaking and Listening
In Writing, we will:
- Experiment with a variety of language and styles with the intended purpose and audience in mind
- Create questions thinking about what the reader wants to know
- Interview a buddy and take notes
- Research, take notes, plan, draft and publish a biography about a chosen person
