Literacy

In Reading, we will: 

• Read and identify features of biographies
• Use top level structures as we explore biographies
• Take part in Daily Review word sessions to enhance/extend students’ vocabulary 
• Present a text of the person we interviewed and wrote a biography on, as part of Speaking and Listening

In Writing, we will: 

• Experiment with a variety of language and styles with the intended purpose and audience in mind
• Create questions thinking about what the reader wants to know
• Interview a buddy and take notes
• Research, take notes, plan, draft and publish a biography about a chosen person
