Tuesday 15th October - Division Basketball (selected girls team) (9.30-12.30pm)
Tuesday 15th October - Division Volleyball (selected boys/girls teams) (12.30-2.30pm)
Thursday 24th October - EMR Athletics (selected students)
Thursday 31st October - Division Cricket - Year 6 Boys and Year 5/6 Girls team (9.30-1.00pm)
Thursday 31st October - Twilight sports (1.30pm-4.30pm)
Friday 1st November - Division Hot Shots Tennis
Thursday 7th November - EMR Boys Netball (selected students)
District Cricket
We had a jam packed schedule on Friday with 30 of our year 5/6 students attending the final District event for the year, the Cricket Gala day. Fair to say we had some great success between all three teams, with all 3 teams topping their pools. Unfortunately only 2 of the 3 teams were eligible to progress through to the Division competition on Thursday 31st October. The smiling faces and the stories showed how much they enjoyed the day. I was as always super impressed how they conducted themselves.
Division Athletics
We had a huge day on the track on September 11, with 67 students representing SJV at the District Athletics. The students as always conducted themselves so well giving 100% in their races and cheering each other and other students from other schools also.
Of these students we congratulate 40 that will be progressing to the Division Athletics competition which being run today. (More achievements in our next newsletter). The following students will be representing SJV:
Year 4 - Georgia, River, Soraya, Isla, Oliver, Josh, Romero, Hugo S, Liam, Isaac, Stefan, Will
Year 5 - Rose, Andrew, Grace, Talitha, Willow, Elsie, Adele, Hula, Amelia, Xavier, Jett, Spencer and Koray
Year 6 - Lucy BD, Lucy C, Asher, Lily, Zoe, Chloe, Jia, Nathan, Ben, Archer, Jayden, Oscar and Patrick.
Division Basketball
Congratulations to the girls year 5/6 team that will be representing SJV at the Division Basketball on Tuesday. We wish them all the best! Thanks to Jo for helping me coach on the day.

Division Volleyball
Congratulations to the year 6 girls and boys team that will be representing SJV at the Division Volleyball on Tuesday. Thank you to Monica De Leo and Paul Cleary for coaching both of these teams.
Boys Team - Gegi, Archer, Flynn, Ben, Patrick, Ethan, Alby and Nathan
Girls Team - Asher, Lily, Macy, Indie, Ivy, Natalia, Harriet, Lucy C and Lucy BD.
Twilight Sports (House Sports)
You will have received an operoo regarding our Twilight/Afternoon Sports event.
Operoo - Fixtures/Schedules
I receive a few emails throughout the term for different sporting events looking for fixtures, team lists etc so parents can go and watch their children. Just thought I would put information here. I always attach any fixtures/schedules I have before an event, some may be updated after the operoo has been sent out. They are usually attached at the bottom of the page after the signatures section, you will just need to scroll down a bit and they will be there. I will always attach this information rather than print it off for the students for convenience for you. Any further questions, don’t hesitate.
Spotlight on Past Students
I often hear from siblings within the school and past students about the achievements they are making on the sporting field since leaving SJV. I think we as a community would love to hear these stories and achievements so if you have something you would like to share with us, I would love to pop it in the fortnightly newsletter.
