ThinkUKnow
On Monday we had an amazing session with ThinkUKnow
This was a really informative education program led by the Australian Federation Police.
Even if you were unable to attend the session, we encourage you to jump onto the Website and have a look.
One big takeaway from the session that really resonated with many of us is to think how big of a safety risk being online really is. They used this example: To get your driver's licence you need to drive for 170 hrs with a person supervising to ensure you are safe, and you can still have a car accident with all that supervision. With being online, there is no training and sometimes no supervision from an adult and yet the online dangers are extremely real.
Did you Know: Just over half of parents and carers talk to their children regularly about online safety (Source: Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation).

Diwali
We would like to acknowledge some people in our community are celebrating Diwali.
Diwali is the festival that represents the same symbolic victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. It starts from Thursday, 31 Oct 2024, 9:22 pm – Friday, 1 Nov 2024, 11:46 pm.
Diwali is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and Newar Buddhists. The year 3 students have been learning about Rama and Sita in Indonesian and Performing Arts. If you would like to know more about the story, click here.
