We’re thrilled to share that our recent immersion trip was an inspiring success! A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, Mrs Sarah Charles, Miss Rebecca Monohan and Mr Matt Tichelaar, and the team at Projects Abroad for their remarkable leadership and commitment, which made this journey meaningful for all. Our students experienced a unique opportunity to live the Gospel values, deepening their understanding of compassion, service, and social justice in communities beyond our own.
Through their hands-on engagement, they indeed witnessed the Church's mission in action, embodying our call to "love thy neighbour" and extending the mercy and love of Christ.
This immersion program stands as a powerful extension of our Catholic mission, allowing our students to encounter diverse cultures and embrace their role as global citizens called to serve others. We are grateful for the support of our community and look forward to future opportunities to expand this journey of faith and service!
You can read more about this program in the Newsletter section titled Immersion Program: Cambodia.
The Year 10 Retreat offers a meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on their faith journey and envision their goals as they transition into their senior years at Brigidine College. This experience encourages students to deepen their connection with faith and recognise the shared bond in Christ.
A letter detailing the event was sent to parents and guardians earlier this week. A snapshot can be found below:

This week, our students in Years 8 and 10 completed the Archdiocesan Religious Education Test. This annual test evaluated students' knowledge across the five strands taught in their respective stages.
This year marked a significant change as the test was conducted electronically, using the NAPLAN online browser. At Brigidine College, we applaud the dedication and hard work our students invested in preparing for this examination.
In December, at our Presentation Day Ceremonies, we will recognise the exceptional student achievements in the Archdiocesan test, celebrating those who attained a High Distinction and ranked in the top 10% of all candidates. Their Semester Two report also highlighted their readiness and engagement with the test, recognising their commitment to excellence.
Congratulations to Years 8 and 10, who transitioned to the online platform with grace and determination. We are exceptionally proud of you.
In the coming weeks, our Youth Ministry Coordinator, Mrs Atlamaz, will announce our Christmas Appeal. Our goal is simple but impactful: to bring joy and support to the vulnerable and those in need right in our own community.
Stay tuned for more information on how you can get involved and help spread the spirit of giving during this festive season. Whether you're a parent, a student, or a broader member of our community, your participation will make a significant difference in someone's life.
Let's unite to make this Christmas a little brighter for those who need it most.
Keep an eye out for updates – your kindness can truly make a world of difference!
