Sports and Activities

Mrs Jennifer Tahir, Middle Leader Sport and Activities

As we approach the end of another fantastic year in sports, we still have some exciting competitions ahead. Our Year 7 Boys and Girls 3x3 basketball teams are set to compete in Cairns soon. We wish them the best of luck as they represent us on the court. Also, in the coming weeks, the AFL Junior Boys and Girls teams will be competing in the AFL 9’s competition. We are looking forward to seeing their efforts and cheering them on!

A huge congratulations to all our award winners who were recognized during our recent Celebration of Excellence Awards Evening. Special recognition goes to our Junior and Senior Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year:

  • Junior Sportswoman: Ella Mayes

  • Junior Sportsman: Harley Sweeper

  • Senior Sportswoman: Emalina Fogale

  • Senior Sportsman: Mason Metzger

This is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the dedication and hard work each of you has put into your respective sports throughout the year.

We would also like to acknowledge the outstanding achievement of Brae Agrums, who has been selected by the Gold Coast Suns to join their U18 AFL Training Squad. This is a remarkable opportunity for Brae to experience elite-level training and competition, which could pave the way to a professional AFL career. We wish Brae the very best as he takes on this exciting challenge.

Good luck to all our athletes in their upcoming competitions and congratulations again to our award winners!
