(❁´◡`❁)
What a fun-filled term it’s been at TheirCare! The children have been busy exploring, creating, and playing – and we’re definitely not ready for it to end just yet.
Painting has been a daily request, with so many budding artists expressing themselves through colour and creativity. In the mornings, magnet tiles continue to be a favourite, with Harry leading the way in building some incredible structures!
Oriane and I recently went on a big shopping trip and brought back new games and resources that the kids have absolutely loved. The Hot Wheels track has been a hit, and we’ve had a great time learning how to play new board games like Monopoly and Deal or No Deal.
We also welcomed a new friend, Bro, who loves sitting on the mat during roll call to help us make sure everyone is here and safe.
Now that the weather is warming up, outdoor play has returned in full swing! We’ve even taken some of our indoor activities outside to enjoy the sunshine.
It’s been a joyful, busy term – full of laughter, learning, and connection. We’re excited for what’s to come next term! 💕

STAFFING
Our staffing structure for Semester two is detailed below:
Permanent teaching staff
Coordinator - Lily Hartley
2IC - Oriane Cleary
Exciting News About Lily!
Lily has recently taken on an exciting new opportunity within the company – she is now helping to support and manage 10 other schools in our region! While she is still our amazing coordinator and Upwey South will always be her top priority, there may be times when she’s needed at other schools to lend her expertise and support.
If you’ve noticed a few sessions without Lily and thought, “Where is she?” – don’t worry! She’s just out there helping others and having an incredible time doing it. We’re so proud of her and grateful for all the knowledge and energy she brings to our community.
🤩
Rotating casual educators - Kurtis, and Fatima
Holiday program coordinators- Lily & Oriane
Staffing arrangements often change due to the needs of the service and growing numbers. There will be some new faces, but we understand consistency is important in building connections and creating a strong sense of wellbeing for our children.
Feedback and suggestions
In order to run an effective and personalized program, we rely on community involvement. The easiest way for us to ensure we are catering to the needs of your children and family is through suggestions and feedback. Please don't hesitate to speak to me directly or leave a note in our feedback box with any concerns or ideas for the service. We love hearing anything that can help us exceed.
Sun Smart Policy
☀️🤠☀️
As part of our commitment to keeping all the children safe in the sun, we’d like to remind families about our TheirCare SunSmart Policy. With the warmer weather upon us, it’s essential that all children wear a broad-brimmed hat when playing outside.
To make sure every child is protected, we ask that children bring their own hat each day. If you’d prefer, you can leave a spare hat at TheirCare, clearly labeled with your child’s name, so it’s always ready for outdoor play. We do provide sunscreen but if your child has a sensitivity we do recommend bring their own.
Thank you for helping us keep all the children sun-safe! If you have any questions about our SunSmart policy, feel free to reach out.
In order to access the OSHC service, families must register prior to booking. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide details such as emergency contacts, medical requirements, dietary needs, etc.
While booking, please remember that last-minute booking can create a hard time for staffing. Please try to book 24 hours in advance, and if needed, call the service for last-minute bookings to ensure space is available.
Enrolment
If you have a child in Foundation or wish to start attending our fantastic program in 2025, you can register at TheirCare now. Booking is not available as of yet, but I will keep you updated. It is always best to book for OSCH as far in advance as possible, to ensure we have the proper staffing ratio needed for the safety of our service.
