What a bumper edition this is to wrap-up the term - a reflection of the volume of activity that has taken place across the school.
I encourage you to peruse all the sections which showcase so many classroom activities, excursions, camps, extra-curricular activities, and amazing student work that is produced. Aside from this I would like to highlight two recent examples of our work within the broader community:
I'm so proud of the positive and meaningful relationships we have in the community and these two examples (which you can read more about later in this edition) exemplify our students living our school values. I thank the staff involved who have supported the students to be part of truly important initiatives.
It was wonderful to see so many parents, carers and students onsite yesterday for the Parent / Teacher Conferences and from all observations, there were many engaged and rich conversations occurring. Thank you to all the parents, carers and teachers for taking the time to ensure these conferences are valuable to all involved.
Looking ahead to Term 4, we will turn our attention to celebrating our Year 12 cohort as early in the term they finish classes and have their final whole school assembly, before embarking on study and final examinations. We will also see our Year 8 and Year 7 cohorts head out on camp, later in the term students will participate in Step Up as we prepare for 2026, and we will welcome Grade 6 students for their transition day among lots of other activities throughout the term.
I'd like to give a shout out to Neeve Kirkpatrick of year 7 who will this weekend depart for Perth to represent Victoria in the week-long Australian Volleyball Nationals tournament in the U14s division. Neeve plays locally and is part of representative sides for the Macedon Ranges Volleyball Association. Good luck Neeve, I'm sure you'll have an amazing experience, and we can't wait to hear all about it.
Finally, before I sign off, I'd kindly ask that if you've not done so already, that you take a few moments to complete the Parent Opinion Survey today. This survey tool provides us with rich information in which we can direct resources and strategies to either maintain what we're doing or put in place improvement practices, so we very much appreciate and value the feedback you can provide.
Wishing you all a wonderful term break, and I look forward to seeing everyone back for the final term of 2025 on the 6th of October.
Kind Regards,
Sarah Rose
