Principal's Message

Dear Families,
Book Week Joy and Calm School Moments
This week, we were thrilled to welcome you all into our school for our Book Week parade. It was a joy to see so many families join us—not only to celebrate the creativity of our students' costumes, but also to get a glimpse of our daily routines in action (even if we were dressed as wizards, superheroes, and storybook characters at the time!).
We hope you saw what we’re seeing every day - a growing sense of calm and confidence across our school. Our children absolutely loved showing off their outfits, but even more so, they were proud to share their learning and the way they move through their day with purpose and positivity.
Thank you for being part of these moments. Your presence reinforces the strong partnership between home and school, and helps our students feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
I continue to thank parents as we embed our Behaviour Curriculum. Hopefully, like us, you are feeling a stronger partnership between home and school, with our notification process in full swing. At the end of the day, we are looking to develop accountability with our students and ownership of behaviour.
If you ever have a question around an email sent home, you have every right to reach out. We welcome your queries and conversations - whether it’s for clarification, context, or collaboration. Our goal is not just to inform, but to work together in supporting each child’s growth.
We know that behaviour is learned, shaped, and strengthened through consistent expectations and shared values. When home and school speak the same language, our students thrive. Thank you for being part of this journey and for reinforcing the messages we share at school.
Together, we are building a culture where students understand the impact of their choices, take responsibility, and learn from their experiences. That’s faith in action - and it’s happening every day!
We would love some feedback on our little event to ensure we keep improving! If you have two minutes, please click here...

Advisory School Council - PLEASE HELP
Our Lady's is seeking to re-establish our Advisory School Council. The Advisory Council serves as a consultative and advisory group for the Principal in order to inform and gain feedback from the broader school community. Members of the Advisory Council;
- actively support, in collaboration with the local parish, the Vison and Catholic Identity of our school
- provide parental and local community input into strategic planning, school improvement, child safeguarding practices and school review
- support the Principal in meeting their accountabilities for educational outcomes, effective stewardship of resources and annual reporting
- actively support the Principal in the encouragement of parent/carer engagement
- provide a means by which the CESL Executive (and thereby the CESL Board) can dialogue with and hear from school community members
Nominations are currently being invited from the community. Nominations (which can be self-nominations) should be in writing and delivered to myself directly. This can be done via email.
So far, I have had one amazing nomination and we are keen to get started. If you have some time on your hands (one meeting a month I promise) then come and see me.
Blessings,
Cassie
