Good afternoon families
I hope you have all had a great week. Thank you to Father Andrew, Mrs Douglas and the Year 6 team for all the preparation and hard work that went into last Sunday’s Confirmation ceremonies. It was a special occasion for the school, parish, families and our Year 6 students.
St Mary McKillop Feast Day Friday 8 August
Yesterday the whole school celebrated the feast day of our parish and the first Australian saint., Mary of the Cross McKillop. Each class celebrated a liturgy, prepared by Mrs Douglas.
Science Week
Science Week starts this week. The whole school will be working on science experiments and knowledge all week. You are all invited into your child/ren’s classroom during this week. Please read your child’s newsletter page for more information.
School Advisory Council (SAC)
Thursday 14 August is our next SAC meeting. If anyone has any items they would like the Council to discuss please send an email to office@stlouisaspendale.com. Your email will then be forwarded to the chairperson of the Council Bill Tabouris.
Feast of the Assumption
Friday 15 August is a Holy Day of Obligation, the Feast of the Assumption. We will celebrate a whole school mass with the parish at 9 am in the all. Parents are welcome to attend.
