Term 3, Week 4

We at TheirCare are very excited to cheer for the Australian athletes competing at this year’s Olympic Games at France. Students helped create a Medal Tally board which is on display with medals accumulating by the day, impressive accomplishment when you compare nations population per capita.

Flags of the nation are on display in line with the Olympic Games. Cheers to all the athletes around the world and especially all Australians’ doing us very proud. Thank you to children for their on-going contributions in creating a flag or medal Artwork to add to the Olympics display; and or any interesting commentary on the Olympic events

TheirCare - Term 3 Students have participated in finger knitting creations with the assistance of their Educators, making scarves, necklaces and bracelets. Finger knitting was found to be very popular, calming and mindful activity….with a few children knitting meters length at a time…..”more wool please”, Children also love going out to the oval to play sports or play at the playground area in or around one or more of the many other activities on display. A regular cooking experience has become a weekly activity, evolving by the suggestion of a group of students hoping to create a menu and planning the ingredients and requirements to complete the bake off, today being Blueberry cakes.

Many children love to assist in many different ways….whether it is collecting rubbish or serving at Afternoon tea…helping their friends, .thank you 😊

For children who pass or miss breakfast/afternoon tea we have placed a bowl of fresh fruit beside the exit door, so please help yourself on your way out.

General Friendly Reminder’s

A very important friendly reminder, if your child is unwell or there is a change in circumstances and your child is booked into care but not attending, please either cancel booking or advise us before 2.30pm on the day, (to avoid charges) thank you.
