NAIDOC Day

Last Wednesday, 24th July 2024, we held our NAIDOC celebrations and the theme was ‘Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud'.

Our NAIDOC day commenced with a Welcome to Country by Len Waters, accompanied by Buddy Knox followed by a special Liturgy run by our students.

After a BBQ lunch, the students participated in cultural activities, which included damper tasting, braiding, beading, sand art, clay modeling, cultural colouring and pasta necklace making.

We would like to thank Len and Buddy for their time and cultural knowledge as well as our teachers and staff for their support.  

We would also like to thank the Manilla Community Preschool, Manilla Early Learning Centre and the parents and guests who joined us in our celebrations.
