Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
Working With Children Checks
At our school, we are incredibly grateful for the dedication and support of our parent volunteers and helpers. Your contributions play a vital role in enriching our students' experiences and making our school community vibrant. From assisting in classrooms to helping organize events and excursions, your involvement allows us to offer a wide range of activities that benefit our students.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all children, we kindly remind all parents interested in volunteering to ensure their Working with Children Check (WWCC) is up to date before nominating to assist with any activities. It is a legal requirement for those involved in child-related activities to hold a current WWCC (either volunteer or employee) or a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) card for teachers.
WWCC applications are free for volunteers and can be easily completed online at https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/.
Thank you once again for your continued support and commitment to our school community. We look forward to working together to create a positive and enriching environment for all our students.
Royal Children’s Hospital Fundraising
Macedon Primary School is proud to announce a remarkable achievement by one of our own students, Levi from class 5/6AB. This year, Levi took the initiative to start an appeal for the Royal Children's Hospital, demonstrating exceptional leadership and compassion. His dedication to this cause inspired our school community to come together in support.
Thanks to the generous contributions from families at Macedon Primary, we raised an impressive $1203.00 for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. This achievement not only reflects Levi's commitment but also the caring spirit of our entire school community.
Recently, Levi had the honour of receiving an award from Rebecca Cowan, the Executive Director of the Good Friday Appeal, at a special event held in Kyneton. This recognition is a testament to Levi's hard work and the collective efforts of everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of Levi and grateful to all the families who supported this important cause.
Congratulations, Levi, and thank you to everyone who contributed to making a difference in the lives of children in need. Together, we have shown that even small actions can have a significant impact.
Foundation 2025
We are pleased to inform our school community that notifications for 2025 Foundation enrolments will be sent out next week. Families who have applied for their children to start Foundation at Macedon Primary School in 2025 can expect to receive their enrolment status and further information shortly.
For families who have not yet enrolled their children and are considering Macedon Primary for 2025, we are still accepting enrolments. If you know someone looking for a supportive and vibrant learning environment for their child, please encourage them to contact the school office. We are happy to provide information, answer questions, and assist with the enrolment process.
Thank you to all the families who have chosen Macedon Primary School. We look forward to welcoming our new Prep students and continuing our journey of learning and growth together.
Returning to School in 2025
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, Macedon Primary School is currently working to confirm enrolments for 2025. To ensure we have accurate numbers and can plan effectively, we kindly ask all families to inform us if their child will not be returning to Macedon Primary School in 2024.
If your child is departing our school at the end of this year, please notify the school office as soon as possible. This information is crucial for our planning and helps us manage resources and class allocations effectively.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and thank you for being part of the Macedon Primary School community. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
