Mindful Movemnet

As the winter months roll on our focus in mindful movement is rest. A larger portion of our movement lessons is dedicated to rest and relaxation. Using symbology and animals tied to the Wurundjeri seasons students have been listening to dreaming stories and other tales of the Warijn or wombat. 

 

Students have been sharing parts of the stories that spoke to them the most and have practised embodying these animal archetypes in the movement element of these lessons. Throughout the coming weeks we will be introducing stretching and incorporating yoga sequences aligned with nature.
