Performing Arts Concert

This term we have the Performing Arts Concert occurring in Week 5, on Thursday, 15 August at 6.30pm.  Every Academy music ensemble has the opportunity to showcase their talents and we will be treated to a variety of performing arts items, held in the Hall.   All parents, friends and the Academy community are invited to attend this free event.

Instrumental music students will then be involved as musicians for the Mercy Day Mass at the end of Term 3.  Select Concert Band members and Isabella Strings will accompany the remaining musicians, who will form a large Choir, to lead the singing at the Mass.

Visual Communication Design - 2023 Graduate Guest Speaker

Year 11 and 12 Visual Communication Design students were lucky to have Allegra Postiglioni come in to speak to them this week.  Allegra, a 2023 Academy graduate, was able to give the current students advice on working on folios, conducting thorough research, producing accurate floorplans and model making.  

She also presented and discussed the projects she has been working on this year as a part of her Bachelor of Landscape Architectural Design course at RMIT.  Allegra’s visit was invaluable to the students who were able to ask questions and see the relevance of what they are currently learning in VCE.
