So Much Happening...

This term has been such a busy one and we are only halfway through. In 6 weeks, we have had our year 2,3 & 4 students spend the night at AFL Max, enjoyed the Book Fair, participated in 3 SAPSASA opportunities, joined together for Bullying No Way Week of Action,

performed our first whole school production of Alice in Wonderland, celebrated our SSOs, and learnt about the shortlisted books during Book Week. This week we held our Fathers' Day Stall and our first Fathers' Day Breakfast and coming up soon we have our Pupil Free Day, many Festival of Music performances, a disco, working bee and Crazy Hair & Wacky Sock Day. All of these events provide different learning opportunities for our students and we are really proud of the variety of experiences that they are able to participate in. So that families are kept up to date with all of this, we use a number of communication methods. Each newsletter we

include Dates to Remember on the What's Happening? page, we publish information on Seesaw, post on our Facebook page and send emails. If you aren't connected to all of these, please make sure we have your current email address, you have liked our page on Facebook and have connected to your child's Seesaw account. It's important to us that our families are kept informed.

Alice in Wonderland Production

Thank you to all of the families who came along to support our students in the performances of our first whole school production, Alice in Wonderland. The many weeks of hard work learning lines, making props and costumes, rehearsing in classes and groups and learning how to support backstage really paid off. Being involved in the production challenged many but every student showed resilience and courage to get onto the stage and have fun. We are really proud of our students and thank all staff for being involved. A special thank you to Belinda Mentha for the work she did with the students in Arts lessons and in putting the whole production together.

Fathers' Day Stall and Breakfast

It was great to see so many families attend our Fathers' Day Breakfast this morning. There were lots of Dads, Uncles, Grandparents and significant family members who came along and spent time chatting and eating breakfast. We hope you enjoyed spending this time with your children and visiting our school. It was fabulous to see so many students visit our Fathers' Day Stall this week too and we hope that everyone enjoys their gifts on Sunday.

Thank you to everyone for supporting our events and helping to make Para Vista a great community.
