Wellbeing
Ms Abbie Sheers
It’s a great time to pause and reflect on the importance of caring for our wellbeing, for both children and adults.
At Hillsmeade Primary School, we know that positive mental health helps our students feel safe, learn effectively and build strong relationships. Every day, our teachers support students by helping them identify and manage their emotions, practise coping strategies and build resilience.
We encourage families to take a moment to talk together about what helps you feel calm and happy.
At Home Activity:
Celebrate World Mental Health Day by creating a Family Wellbeing Jar!
Find a jar and some paper and each day write down one thing that made you feel happy, calm, proud or grateful. At the end of the week, read the notes together and reflect on the positives. This simple activity helps build gratitude, strengthen family connections and encourages conversations about what helps everyone feel their best.
