🌞 Summer Holidays and Wellbeing at Tarneit Senior College

As we wrap up another busy and fulfilling school year at Tarneit Senior College, it’s time to pause, reflect, and recharge. The summer holidays are a well-deserved opportunity for students, staff, and families to rest and reconnect after a year of learning, growth, and community.
Taking Care of Wellbeing Over the Break
The holidays are more than just a break from school - they’re a chance to nurture our mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. While it’s tempting to fill every day with activity, remember that true rest comes from balance.
Here are a few simple ways to support wellbeing this summer:
Move your body - go for a walk, dance, swim, or play sport. Movement releases stress and boosts mood.
Unplug regularly - take time away from screens and social media. Notice how your mind feels when you slow down.
Stay connected - spend quality time with family, friends, and loved ones. Meaningful connection supports emotional health.
Reflect and reset - journal, draw, or simply think about what you’ve achieved this year and what you hope for in 2026.
Rest - quality sleep and downtime are vital for focus, memory, and emotional balance.
Looking Ahead
When students return in the new year, our Wellbeing Team will continue to provide support through individual sessions, group programs, and wellbeing initiatives focused on resilience, emotional regulation, and social connection. We’re proud of how our students have shown kindness, courage, and perseverance throughout the year. Every conversation, act of care, and moment of effort matters.
A Message from the Wellbeing Team
“Your wellbeing matters as much as your learning. This summer, take time to breathe, laugh, and do things that make you feel grounded and alive.”
On behalf of the Tarneit Senior College Wellbeing Team, we wish all our students, families, and staff a safe, joyful, and restorative summer break. See you in 2026, refreshed and ready for another year of growth and learning!
