Term 3, 2025 Reflection

Prayer and faith are profound spiritual practices that reach beyond the boundaries of any single tradition. They offer a source of connection, hope, and inner calm to all who embrace them. From an ecumenical perspective, they act as bridges, encouraging dialogue and nurturing understanding across diverse faith communities. Prayer—in its many forms—expresses gratitude, seeks guidance, and provides comfort. Faith, meanwhile, grounds us in our convictions and offers resilience in moments of uncertainty. Together, they highlight our shared humanity and strengthen the bonds of community, reminding us of the spiritual threads that unite us across traditions.

I thank you all for the most joyous Term 3 and cannot think of better words to conclude the Term than the prayer composed by Ruby Lin for our Kindergarten to Year 6 End of Term Church Services at St Michael’s Anglican Church Vaucluse.

Dear God,

Thank you for your guidance and protection throughout this term.

Thank you for assisting us in our learning and all the good memories we have created this term.

Please continue to protect and guide us during these holidays, let us rest and spend time with friends and family and ensure that we return refreshed and ready for Term 4.

Thank you that your hear our prayer and know all we need.

Amen.

We look forward to welcoming our students back to Kambala in summer uniform for the first day of Term 4 on Tuesday 14 October 2025.

Progressive Reporting

Much research is linked to the power of ongoing and meaningful feedback for students to better understand and improve their learning. To that end, we would like to remind parents of our Years 5 and 6 girls to check Sundial for feedback on their work for this term. Feedback is provided each term by Class teachers and Specialist teachers.

URStrong

At Kambala Junior School, we use the URStrong program to explicitly teach friendship skills, helping students build healthy, respectful, and lasting connections. This evidence-based program empowers children with a common language and strategies to navigate the ups and downs of friendships with confidence. You are invited to take advantage of a FREE Parent Membership to access hundreds of resources – including an 8 session video series.

Mufti Day Fundraiser The Kids' Cancer Project

We are delighted to announce that the Junior School raised $1,221.00 at last Friday 19 September's Mufti Day. This will be donated to the Kids' Cancer Project linked to our Write a Book in a Day initiative.

We thank our Junior School families for their generosity.

Test and Quest Day Information for Current Year 6 Parents and Students - Friday 31 October, 2025

We are very much looking forward to your daughter joining Year 7 in 2026.

In preparation for her commencement, all Year 6 students will participate in our Test and Quest Day on Friday 31 October 2025 at Kambala.
