Australian Ex-Prisoner of War Memorial

In 2008 our Australian Ex-Prisoner of War Memorial became the first military memorial of national significance outside Canberra.  It recognises and remembers over 36,000 Australians who became Prisoners of War during the Wars of the 20th Century.

In 2014 the trustees commenced a campaign to suggest in lieu of wreaths, that a book tribute be placed instead.  We have been very fortunate to have the following books donated to our school library:

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari - Robin Sharma

 Ivor Nicolle's Goal - Sturt's Anzac Premiership - 1919 - John Lysikatos

The Book Thief - Markus Zusak

Sisters in Captivity - Colin Burgess

Daring Missions of World War II - William B. Breuer

Changi Photographer - Tim Bowden

We thank the trustees for their generous donations.
