First Aid Training

On Monday 19th March, the 1st Year Community Services students undertook first aid training. The training was conducted by Bruce Robertson from iVET. This training involved teaching students how to respond to a range of emergency situations and administer appropriate first aid treatment to those who are sick or injured. 

The students completed training in CPR, appropriately responding to anaphylactic reactions and use of an EpiPen, asthma treatment, using a defibrillator and bandaging injuries. 

There was both a practical and theory component to the training. Congratulations to the following students who successfully completed the course:

Sunni Beney, Annika Dumesny, Charlotte Jeffery, Mia Larkins, Montana Leskosek, Laine Murphy, Charlotte Onn and Ruby Verhagen.
