K-2 Parent Reading Sessions

Thank you to all of our Infant (K-2) parents who were able to join one of the two sessions about how to read at home with your child. I hope that you gained some further information about the teaching and assessing of reading at Holy Family as well as how to foster that important love of reading with your child.   I am more than happy to answer any questions or clarify any information.

Harmony Day- Monday 25th March

This year, Holy Family will be celebrating Harmony Day as part of Wellbeing Week.

Harmony Day is an annual national event that celebrates the amazing diversity in Australia. It aims to bring people from all cultures together to foster further understanding and acceptance.

At Holy Family, our students have a total of 19 different cultural and language backgrounds. We are proud of the way our students accept their school and community diversity and are looking forward to celebrating this on Monday.

Your child is encouraged to wear a touch of orange or an outfit that reflects their cultural heritage. Please make sure that their outfit is comfortable and that includes enclosed shoes.

School Earth Hour and World Water Day

Students K-6 enjoyed having a technology and electricity free hour on Friday to support World Water Day and School Earth Hour. Students engaged in many activities that helped remind them of how precious our Earth and natural resources are for our survival.

We encourage all families to take part in Earth Hour at home on Saturday the 23rd March. Please see the link for more information

Have a lovely weekend.
