In terms of the Age Group pennants, the team recorded the following results:
Open – 4th
U16 – 1st
U15 – 2nd
U14 – 2nd
U13 – 2nd (We came second to Fahan by 3.5 points!)
And lastly, thanks to our consistent performances across the five Age Groups, we walked away with the Junior (Years 7-10) and the Aggregate (Years 7-12) Shield!
Well done to all the athletes who helped make this possible.
Last Friday (22 March) all of the SATIS schools across Tasmania headed down to the Domain for an action-packed day of running, jumping, throwing and, of course, cheering on our fellow teammates.
On what was another very big day, our athletes represented St Mary’s with pride, great sportsmanship and left everything they had on the track. We couldn’t be prouder of your efforts! Well done, team!
Before we cover the individual athlete results, I would like to mention arguably the highlight of the Carnival, which was Ava Lindquist (Year 7) who not only ran her U13 800m a FULL SECOND FASTER than the first U13 boy but also broke the state record with an incredible time of 2:17.51. Just for reference, the old record was a time of 2:24.71. Well done, Ava!
