Interschool Chess Competition

On the 2nd of April, ten students from St Johns Park Public School went to Canley Vale Public School to participate in the Interschool Chess Competition. It was a fierce day long competition of high-quality chess against other schools. The St Johns Park Team was hand-picked by the teachers coaching the chess team. Our team goal was to make it into the semi-final by coming either first, second or third. Unfortunately, we placed fourth, meaning we just missed out.

Although we did not make the finals, we all took memories from the day as well as improving our skill in the game of chess. We are all looking forward to future games against other schools.
