Just like that, we are at the end of term 1!

I hope all students have been enjoying borrowing books from the school library and discovering new genres to read. We have all been encouraging the students to try different books to help grow their interest in reading. Sometimes students may select books from a series that is familiar to them and stretching beyond that takes a lot of encouragement and assistance. At Kingswood, we want you all to know that we are doing whatever we can to expand their reading interests.

You can also help increase your child’s reading range by browsing at all the different books in a book shop, Big W or Kmart. The best way would be to visit your local Library. They are filled with wonderful free resources you can all use. Even looking at catalogues together or the Scholastic Book Club brochure can spark their interest in a book. 

Please encourage your children to continue their daily reading, even over the holidays.
