Term 1 has come to an end and what a term it has been!
It has been wonderful to see all the students in our school working to establish really positive routines and teachers have demonstrated very high expectations of student behaviour and learning.
Other highlights have been interschool sport, our Prep and Year 6 Buddy BBQ, Leo our therapy dog turning 3!, Year 2 Scienceworks excursion, Year 1 Gould League incursion, amazing specialist classes and much, much more.
We are looking forward to a full and active Term 2 with ANZAC Day Ceremonies, the Colour Run, Year 6 Canberra Camp and Cross Country amongst other things.
As we come to the end of term, I am continuing to look at attendance data and will be in touch with offers of support to any families of students whose attendance is already beginning to look ‘at risk’.
April 2nd is World Autism Understanding Day, an opportunity to reflect on the changes that we can make as individuals and a school to accommodate the communication preferences of students and adults in our world who may be on the spectrum and increase the sense of support, inclusion, understanding, belonging and connectedness. Keep an eye out for how our Wellbeing team will be acknowledging Autism Awareness month when we come back next term.
Hats stay in play until the end of April. Don’t put your child’s hat away just yet, children are still required to have their hats in line with our sunsmart policy until the end of April!
Have a fabulous holiday and we look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for a big term of learning in Term 2.
