It’s the COMMUNITY OPEN DAY WEEK!

The P&F Committee are so excited that the event has finally arrived. We look forward to celebrating our wonderful school and its students with existing and new members of the school community. These open days are such a pivotal part of a school community and if this one is anything like last years, we are in for a great day! See you there. In the meantime, please read the following article for an update on community open day stalls and other need-to-know information. Thank you.

On Friday 15th March, icy poles will be available to purchase at lunch for $2 instead of the usual $1. The additional $1 donation will be donated towards Caritas Australia – an Australian organisation that supports people in poverty. We encourage as many students as possible to support this wonderful cause in celebration of Easter faith, where giving is a blessing.

St. Fidelis' Community Open Day

This coming Sunday 17th March from 12pm – 4pm, we are hosting our Community Open Day. Like the event we ran in 2023, there will be food/drinks, market stalls, children’s activities, school tours and much more. There are TWO exciting new additions that have been added to this year’s community day:

  1. Sensory Friendly Space. The Foundation area (indoor and outdoor spaces) will be a ‘low sensitivity, quiet zone’ to benefit our students and children in the community with sensory sensitivities. Sensory friendly activities will be set-up in the Foundation classrooms all day, where parents are able to supervise their children, should they require some quiet time.
  2. St. Fidelis Instrumental & Vocal Performances. From 1:30pm you are invited to watch the instrumental and vocal talent of some of our St. Fidelis students/parents as they perform on stage, just outside the Year 1/2 area.

Here is some further information on what to expect at the Community Open Day – see you there!

Join us at the Community Open Day to shop at these fabulous stalls!

And LAST but NOT LEAST…

A Children’s Salon, Face Painter, Fire Brigade, Water Duck Game, Confectionary Toss Game, Lucky Dip, Raffle, Student Performances and A Sensory Friendly Space!

Community Day Raffle

On Sunday 17th March, at the St. Fidelis' Community Open Day, we will be drawing a raffle. Like always families will be given a raffle booklet with 20 tickets to purchase/sell at only $1 per ticket. Extra tickets will also be available to purchase on the day. The raffle prizes will include Easter themed items as well as various other items, vouchers and products.

In preparation for this raffle, we ask that you consider donating any new and unwanted items for use in our hampers. Some ideas could include homewares, body products, candles, children’s toys, etc. Any donations can be dropped to the school office before THIS Thursday, 14th March. Your assistance with the organisation of this raffle is very much appreciated.

The Village Bakery Hot Cross Bun Drive

In true Easter style, the P&F Committee along with The Village Bakery are hosting the annual ‘Hot Cross Bun Drive’.  QuickCliq Orders for this fundraiser will ARE OPEN and will close on Monday 19th March. DELIVERY OF BUNS to school on Monday 25th March.

Full proceedsfrom this drive will go towards P&F Fundraising, meaning your purchase/s will play a fundamental role in supporting the school’s 2024 fundraising goal.

We thank you in advance for your support with this event. And we thank Anastasia and Damian Spyrou for the generosity of The Village Bakery.

2nd-Hand Uniform donations

We welcome any donations of second-hand uniforms for our upcoming stalls. Please ensure that the uniforms:

  • Are in acceptable condition with no fading, missing logos or stains.
  • Have a school logo or are PSW labelled, therefore no Kmart/Target/etc. purchases.
  • Are in a clean condition.

Please place your items in a bag and hand into the school office to donate.

Many thanks.
