Learning and Teaching
Welcome back to Term 3. The students have come back refreshed and engaged in their new learning for the term.
Olympics Day
The Olympics are starting on Friday 26th of July. The Australian Olympic Committee has named Friday the 2nd of August ‘Green and Gold Day’ in support of the Australian Olympic Team. To acknowledge and engage our students in the Olympic Spirit, on Friday the 2nd August we are inviting all our students to come dressed in the spirit of the Olympics. This could be:
- Green and Gold colours
- As a sportsperson or an Olympian
- The colours of your school house colour
- Culture theme
- Colours of a country
The students will participate in Olympic activities in their classrooms across the duration of the Olympics.

Decodable Readers
This term, the home reading program in Prep will involve the students bringing home decodable readers. These books only contain words that can be read using the sounds the children have been taught up to that point as well as including words to blend and tricky words to practise pages. This is the next stage of our transition towards the Vision for Instruction as outlined by the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools.
We would like to acknowledge and thank the Bendigo Bank Seddon for their support through a grant that enabled us to purchase the Sunshine Decodable Readers.
