Community Issue and making a difference
As part of my role as school captain I have seen an issue that the whole state supports which is MND. I was inspired by Jess Wilson on the School leadership program to speak out about problems that could be fixed in our community.
MND is a disease that slowly makes your muscles stop working. When I went to the MND AFL game a few days ago, I had an idea . To help raise money for this cause in our community, I thought in Term 3 on our footy day, that we celebrate in September, we could make it a gold coin donation day to help raise funds to make a cure for MND. On this day we can all wear our footy jumpers and scarves and Mr Walsh helps us all sing our footy club songs. I hope you will all join in and support this worthy cause.
