iCAN Centre

iCAN Centre - Brimbank Campus

Our school community may be aware that we have implemented a flexible learning option for selected students called 'iCAN' which is located at the Brimbank campus. The Centre is overseen by Campus Principal, Jason Austin (right).

This term at our iCAN centre, students have been working hard in the kitchen to develop a range of cooking skills.

On Wednesday 15th May we honoured our mothers with a special high tea. Students were given an opportunity to work with a qualified pastry chef who showed them how to make scones without a recipe, yes you read this right!! This lesson was incredible.

This was an amazing morning, the scones were incredible, Chantilly cream and jam was just the thing for a cold autumn morning. We had a range of activities and games for mums to join in on. Thank you to the mums who came to support our amazing students! It was lovely to see lots of laughter.

At our iCAN centre we run also personal training sessions every day for one hour.

This gives our students an opportunity to develop physically and mentally, and build resilience every day. The benefits of physical exercise are well documented, and already we have seen improvements in connections, contribution and competence. Students are demonstrating better outcomes and fitness test results are on the up. Our trainer Chris is doing an amazing job!
