Can You Dig It!
Last Friday, our finest participated in the SSWA Volleyball Competition. Displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship, they competed in a very challenging section of the tournament. Despite some very positive results, we just missed securing 5th place in the play-off. Congratulations to the boys, primarily Year 11 students, promising a bright future for volleyball at our school.

A special thanks to Mr Parker and Mr Migro for assisting the team on the day.
First XVIII Football Team: Fr John Sherman Cup
The First XVIII football team played their final fixture against CBC Fremantle. Both teams competed for the Fr John Sherman Cup, a longstanding tradition between the schools. This year, the cup was decided based on aggregate scoring, with Mazenod needing a 23-point victory to secure the cup after an earlier 22-point loss in the season.
The match was fiercely competitive and physical, with standout performances from Luke B, Josh M and Julius P. The boys fought valiantly throughout the game but fell agonisingly short, losing by just 4 points.

Congratulations to all who played for the First XVIII team this year, your effort and dedication have been commendable.
ACC Hockey
The boys performed admirably in the A Division hockey finals. They secured impressive victories against Ursula Frayne (4-0) and Bunbury Grammar (2-0). In the semi-final, they triumphed over John XXIII with a score of 2-1. Despite their strong performance, they narrowly lost in golden goal extra time to Bunbury Grammar with a score of 1-0 in the Grand Final.
Junior Soccer Report Game 4
The Junior Soccer Team played their final game of the group stage of the competition against Darling Range Sports College. Darling Range made a good start to the game scoring off a long ball from the goalkeeper. This put Mazenod on the back foot, however, they were quickly able to take control of the match, heading into halftime with a 5-1 advantage. The second half was much the same with Mazenod dominating possession but being unable to score until the last 10 minutes when 3 more goals were scored. We won the game 8-1 securing the top of the group and advancing to the next stage of the competition. Well done to Hamish P (4 goals), Lucas R (2 goals), Declan M and Luke H both scoring 1 goal each!
