School Council Report

School council held its last meeting for Term 2 on Monday 17 June.

Council reflected on the numerous successful fundraising and social events in Term 2 including the annual EPS Walkathon and the well-attended Mothers and Carers coffee morning. The inaugural EPS Trivia Night was a great success as was the Battle of the Bands, at which the EPS community was well represented. Well done to the organisers, volunteers and musicians!

Upcoming events in Term 3 include a Fathers and Carers gratitude stall, a Fathers and Carers coffee morning and the Parent/Carer Party which will be held on Friday 18 October.

The Building and Grounds Subcommittee provided an update on priorities for Term 3 including roof repairs to Brickwood Hall, and toilet upgrades in the library and Brickwood Hall.

The Education Subcommittee reported on EPS policies being updated including the Yard Duty and Supervision Policy for Parents and Students and the Digital Technologies (Internet, Social Media and Digital Devices) Policy. A reminder that all policies can be found on the EPS website.

Council also discussed 2025 Prep enrolments which are tracking well. You may see some local kindergartens and future EPS Preps touring the School this term!

Well done to staff, parents and students on a successful Term 2 and we wish you all the best for an enjoyable and fulfilling Term 3.
