Mount View Students
I am enjoying talking to students in their classrooms, in the yard and at the front of the school. I am continually impressed with their eagerness to learn and the way that they speak to me, staff and each other. The students at Mount View are kind, intelligent, joyful and respectful and this is worthy of recognition and celebration.
Meet the Principal- Friday 1 March 9.00am-9.45am
Thank you to those families who attended the recent Meet the Principal session. I enjoyed talking to you and learning more about what is important to our families. The next Meet the Principal session will be held on Friday 1 March at 9.00am in the staffroom. This is an opportunity to meet each other in an informal setting.
School Council Elections 2024
The number of nominations for School Council exceeds the number of positions so we will be conducting an election. You will receive further communication next week which will include an outline of the process including key dates, a ballot paper and a short statement from each of the candidates.
Road Safety
Parents and staff members have shared their concerns about parking and driving behaviour from some of our school community at drop off and pick up time. I too, am becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of our students.
Please follow the parking rules. This includes:
- 2 minute drop off zone
- Please stay with your vehicle – for no more than 2 minutes.
- Do not use this area if you want to walk in with your child or meet them inside the school.
- Park in allocated parking areas
- Do not park in no standing areas
- Do not let your children get out of your car if your car has stopped in a queue of traffic. This is considered double parking.
- Adhering to the speed limit
- Do not exceed 40 kmph in school zones
And please, use the pedestrian crossings.
The Monash Council regularly patrol the area so please obey the road rules or you risk being fined. We have a shared responsibility to follow the road rules and make sure that our students are safe when travelling to and from school.
