It has been a wonderful start to the 2024 school year here at the College, despite the temperature, students have been getting straight into work across all areas of the school. Our Year 11 students and families started on Monday with an introduction to College life and a brief tour of each area before a trip to the pool. Tuesday was filled with more sun and pool time in Kellerberrin and welcoming back our Year 12s.

Since then, our students have busily been emersed into Trades, Farm, Drones, Certificate III programs, Town Run, Adventure World, Class, welcoming next students and staff along with welcoming back our Year 12s and staff.

We have several new staff joining our team this year, Mr Jonathon Arnott, Principal for 2024 while Mr Dowell is on leave. Mr Jackson Evans has joined the Trades team teaching Engineering and Automotives. We also have Ms Shirley Julie-Wallis and Miss Kate Strong who are new additions to the Class department. Ms Wallis will be filling in for Ms Annette Wells who will be joining us mid-term as our new English teacher from England. Lastly, we welcome Mr Aaron Morton as our new Well-being Co-Ordinator. We are very excited to welcome our new staff, each bringing passion and enthusiasm to their roles at the College.

Our Year 12 cohort have stepped into the role of student leaders and role models flawlessly and should be commended for their conduct so far. I hope to see this positive start continue throughout their final year of schooling. Likewise, most of our new Year 11s have settled right into the routines of boarding and agricultural college life.

Term 1 will be busy both in the schooling programs and in curricular activities offered including (but not limited to), WACOAAutumn Carnival, Year 12 ATAR Camp, Graeme Wood Shield cricket competition, Wagin Woolorama, Country Week trials and training, OLNA and Special Dinners. Students are encouraged to plan their time to allow for plenty of activities as well as schoolwork, study, friends, family and rest.

Timetable/Course Changes

Students wishing to discuss or make changes to their timetables or course selections should arrange a time to meet with me as soon as possible. No course changes will be made after Friday of Week 3 (16 Feb 2024).
