Student Leadership

Meet our School Leaders!

School Captains

Darcy Cook

Hey! I’m Darcy and I’ll be one of the College Captains this year. Despite this role, never feel afraid to come chat, whether you’ve got concerns starting school or something completely different! I’m looking forward to supporting many of you into leadership positions and opportunities, as well as hearing any feedback you need heard. Just because I’m a big scary year 12, don’t forget we’re all students going through the same stuff. Anyways! Looking forward to seeing new and old faces this year.

Evie Taylor

Hi! I’m Evie, and I’m really excited to be Heathmont College Captain of 2024. My focus as School Captain is to specifically elevate student voice in our school and to the wider community. One thing I want to be able to do this year is to get to know many of the students a little better, and become someone that people can talk to about anything that is important to them. If you want to have a chat, but you don’t know exactly who I am yet, the back of my Year 12 jumper says ‘Mouse’ – just say hello!

Vice Captains

Stephanie Morgans

Hello, I'm Steph, and I am one the Vice Captains for 2024. My role focuses on the Value of Curiosity. As the Captain of Curiosity, I want everyone to feel comfortable in the school environment; to allow them to ask questions and, though cheesy, chase their dreams.

Now,  a little bit about me first. For the basics, I am currently in year 12. I have always changed what I want to do as a career, and I want others to know that that’s ok. My favourite colour is lilac. My favourite book is usually which ever one I am reading. I have three dogs, two cats and chickens. I like researching Greek mythology when I can. As for sports, I used to play netball, basketball and participate in dance lessons. I would really like to get to know you all, students and guardians, and better understand what makes you curious. So always feel free to reach out, as I am a friendly face you can count on.

Maddie Butler

Maddie is the Vice Captain for Community. So far, Maddie shown her community spirit by leading school tours. We're sure Maddie will make a significant contribution as Vice Captain this year.

Natalie Rose

Nat is our Vice Captain for the value of Compassion. We are thrilled to have Nat involved and look forward to her contributions this year.  In her spare time, Nat loves to dance and enjoys teaching younger students how to do so.

Prefects

Amy Johnson

Hello! My name is Amy Johnson, and I am the Science prefect for 2024 and am in year 11. My favourite subjects are Chemistry and Math Methods, and I am also extremely interested in everything involving science. I hope to be able to contribute to the school by making science a more enjoyable subject and showing that although there is a lot of theory work to be done, it is a very fun subject! I cannot wait to help out the school this year!

Alivia Dennis

Hello everyone, I'm Liv, your Performing Arts Prefect for 2024! This year I hope to encourage, support and uplift students and hopefully get more people interested in the area of performing arts. When I not busy doing schoolwork, you’ll often find me immersed in the world of performing arts, whether it's acting, dancing, singing or my personal passion, lighting operation for shows. Away from the stage, I'm also a devoted animal lover. My casual job is at Chesterfield Farm which I love (who would not love being surrounded with animals all day?). My favourite animal at work would be the calves. I'm thrilled to be your preforming arts prefect, and I can't wait to collaborate with all of you to create unforgettable performances and memories together!

Ashlan White

Hi everyone! I’m Ash and I will be one of your wellbeing prefects for 2024. I am excited for the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team and wellbeing staff. While not at school I play and coach basketball. I have two cats (Axel and Marley) and am in year 11. This year I am hoping to work with the wellbeing team to create positive change within the Heathmont community and help students to strive to be their best and achieve their goals.

Paige Johnson

Hi, my name is Paige Johnson. I am one of the wellbeing prefects this year and am so excited to listen and help work with our wellbeing team to improve on our school. I’m in year 11 and am extraordinarily passionate about wellbeing. A little about me: I have two cats and two dogs and I play a lot of basketball.

I’m always happy to have a chat if anyone needs as well as listen to any suggestions that you might think of, we want to make your voices heard. My goals this year are to make a comfier easier transition into high school and create a less overwhelming space at school, while providing support wherever I can.
