Swimming Carnival
Recently, Heathmont College engaged in another Swimming Carnival at Aquanation! We had many events, including the inflatable relay race, water polo and the wide variety of swimming races, in which we saw much student participation and achievement.

Included with this, we had many splashes of colour within each house, ranging from t-shirts to large groups of costumes! It was amazing to see such student involvement, as well as being able to show this off in the costume competition.
As well as many amazing costumes, many rivalries were brewing as water polo sought houses competing against each other, with an extra round for the year 12’s to compete against the college staff… despite valiant efforts from the year 12’s, the staff ended up bringing home the victory.
With 2024’s Swimming Carnival coming to a close, we saw Monash house taking the crown, with Flynn coming in second, Hollows in third and Gilmore in fourth. However, the engagement seen within all houses was amazing to see despite the final results.
A big thanks to the staff, volunteers, students and parents who helped in the success of the event despite the many obstacles. Without the support of the college community these opportunities wouldn’t be possible, so a huge thanks to anyone who helped out this year!
