Projects and maintenance at Calrossy

We commence 2024 with many property and maintenance projects occurring around the school. School staff and contractors have worked hard during the December/January holidays to complete work by beginning of Term 1 on the projects listed below, except Multi Use Classroom 2.

• Multi Use Classroom 2 Construction continues its steady progress, despite some poor weather,  towards a completion in November 2024. The attached photo shows the 2nd floor of the classroom block and the auditorium

• William Cowper Carpark is all but complete except for the bus shelter which will completed in the Term 1 holidays. I am very pleased with the way the paths from the Bishop Peter Chiswell Hall to Campus Administration have been completed. Some path links to the campus have been made temporary as it encroaches on the work of the Masterplan of 2024 and will be completed at a alter date.

• William Cowper Old Carpark now has complete solar lighting as we have in the New Carpark
• William Cowper Room 201 and 202 have been renovated into a new classroom and 2 office spaces. We also developed 4 eCalrossy studios that double as music practice rooms.

• Yr 7-9 Common Area in front of the Resource Centre received 3 new umbrellas for shade.

• Simpson Boarding House had paintwork completed in the main dormitory area and the parquetry floor was refinished.
• Brisbane Street Campus Room 114 is being refitted for Hospitality Courses with extra benches and stoves.
• Hotwater Services across all sites have been replaced with a heat pump units to reduce power consumption. These units have been funded by the NSW Government.
• William Cowper Campus had a number of extra cold water bubblers installed around the site.

Thankyou to all the staff and contractors who have made these projects, and some that I have not mentioned, come to life.
