Parents and Friends Association

Dear St Bede's Parent/Carer Community,

I hope this message finds you well and settling into the new school year. Allow me to extend a warm welcome to both our new families and those returning to St Bede's.

As we navigate the transition back into routine, I'm excited to introduce myself as Lisa Marulli, serving as the President of the St Bede's Parents Association for the first time this year.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to support our children, our school, our parish community, and each member of our parent/carer community throughout their journey at St Bede's. The Parents Association plays a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community through various social events and proactive fundraising initiatives. 

With the dedicated efforts of our members and the invaluable support of Principal Brian Grace and Vice Principal Larissa Boyan, we aim to enhance the educational experience offered at St Bede's.

I encourage all parents to engage with the Parents Association in any capacity they can, whether it's through volunteering time for fundraising activities, assisting with social events, supporting the school disco, or contributing to sponsorship opportunities. Your involvement, no matter how big or small, contributes significantly. We are always looking for new opportunities and ideas.

Reflecting on our achievements in 2022, events such as the Greek themed Trivia Night, Mother’s Day Dinner/Father’s Day Breakfast, the Colour Run, and the St Bede’s Christmas Market brought us together and enabled us to raise funds for a new sensory playground and smart TVs for classrooms (Grade 3-6). In 2023, we continued to strengthen our bonds through events like Bogan Bingo, the annual Colour Run with a twist of slime, and Market on The Green. These efforts will enable us to fund the resurfacing of the basketball courts and provide smart TVs for Grade Prep to 2 classrooms.

Looking ahead to 2024, the Parents Association Committee has exciting plans in store and eagerly anticipates your participation throughout the year as we continue to connect the St Bede's community.
