We are delighted to announce our newly appointed Junior School House Leaders and Junior School Chapel Leaders for 2026. Each of these students has shown a strong sense of responsibility, compassion, and enthusiasm for serving our school community.
Our Junior School House Leaders will help strengthen House spirit, teamwork, and positive connections across the Junior School. Our Junior School Chapel Leaders will support the spiritual life of our community through readings, prayer, and modelling respectful and engaged participation during Chapel services.
These leadership roles will complement our Tier Leaders, who serve as:
Service and Community Captains
Together, these students form a vibrant and committed leadership team. Throughout the year, we look forward to supporting and encouraging them as they lead with F.I.R.E.—Faith, Inclusion, Respect and Excellence. These values sit at the heart of our Junior School and guide our leaders in setting a positive example for their peers.
We congratulate all our newly appointed leaders and look forward to the energy, kindness, and initiative they will bring to our school community in 2026.

Our first Kinder Konnect session for the year was a wonderful success! It was fantastic to welcome both new and returning families as we began building those early connections that help set our future students up for a positive start to school.
A standout moment was seeing our Year 5 students take on leadership roles, guiding fun activities and helping our 2027 Kinder students feel comfortable, excited, and included. Their kindness and enthusiasm played a big part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our newest community members.
Our next opportunity to connect will be the School Readiness Interviews in Term 2, where we look forward to getting to know each child even more and supporting them on their journey towards starting school in 2027.
We are incredibly proud of how Kinder Konnect continues to grow. These early experiences are helping our future Kinder students feel confident, supported, and ready for the transition ahead.

Last week, our teaching staff had the valuable opportunity to work with Brendan Lee, with a focus on strengthening the way we teach Mathematics across the Junior School. During these sessions, teachers explored practical, strategies to help make mathematics lessons clear, engaging, and supportive for all learners. The professional learning centred on helping students build confidence, develop strong understanding, and experience success in their daily learning in our numeracy sessions.
Brendan Lee is an experienced educator and instructional coach who works with schools across Australia to support evidence-informed teaching practices, particularly in Mathematics. His work draws on cognitive science and effective instructional design.

This work marks the beginning of a year-long professional learning journey for our staff, as we continue to refine and strengthen our Mathematics teaching practices throughout the year. Through ongoing learning, classroom application, and reflection, we are committed to continually improving our practice to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.
We were also delighted to have members of our Senior School Mathematics department attend the sessions. Their involvement reflects a cohesive, whole-school focus on Mathematics, supporting alignment in teaching practices and expectations from Junior School through to Senior School, and helping to provide students with strong and seamless learning foundations as they progress through the College.
