Dear Families,
We are now halfway through Term One and continue to have high expectations of behaviour, attention to learning and attendance. The collated data from our beginning-of-year testing has shown some excellent results, with most students maintaining the achievement standards set in 2025. This has had a flow-on effect, with fewer students requiring intervention. These are all very positive signs for the year ahead.
I would like to publicly acknowledge the work of our classroom teachers, intervention teachers and Learning Support Officers for their consistent and professional approach. We could not do what we do without them!
Thank You
A big thank you to the parents who cooked and served pancakes for 462 students and 60 staff — such a huge effort that you made look easy. We continue to be so grateful for such a generous community.
Thank you also to all the families who supported Mel and Trent at the swimming carnival. It was a great day (although a little chilly), and it was wonderful to see so many children trying their best, giving it a go and understanding that participation was the most important thing. House points continue to be hotly contested at St Therese's, with updates announced at Assembly.
2027 Foundation Enrolment – Existing Families
It is hard to believe we are approaching 2027 enrolment time. If you have a child starting Foundation in 2027, please visit our website and complete the Enrolment Enquiry tab. Having this information from existing families gives us an early indication of how many places we will have available for new families. Please attend to this at your earliest convenience.
Learning Conversations – Thursday 5 March
Bookings for Learning Conversations are now open via PAM.
These meetings are an important part of our reporting process and provide a valuable opportunity to build strong relationships between families, students and teachers. Parents and students attend the meeting together with the classroom teacher.
Please ensure you take the time to book and attend a conversation.
Please note: This is a school closure day.
NAPLAN
Our Year 3 and Year 5 students will participate in NAPLAN between 11–17 March, completing Reading, Writing, Language Conventions and Numeracy assessments.
If you have any questions regarding this assessment period, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me.
School Hours (Repeat)
Please note that the schoolyard is unsupervised before 8:30 am. There are still many children on the grounds prior to this time.
For the safety of your children, I ask that they are not dropped off at school
