Senior School

It has been a fantastic start to the term, with students engaging positively in classes, co-curricular activities and whole-school events. Please see the important updates below.

VCAAStudents undertaking a Unit 3/4 subject (including Year 11 Enhancement students) may be eligible for Special Provision if they are significantly affected by:

  • An acute or chronic illness (physical or psychological)

  • Factors relating to personal circumstance

  • An impairment or disability, including learning disorders

Information regarding eligibility and application processes can be found via the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) website:

https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/administration/special-provision/vcaa-special-provision

All applications for Special Exam Arrangements must be submitted to the relevant coordinator by Thursday 27 February.

Please contact Senior School if they are unsure about eligibility or documentation requirements.

Unit 1 & 3 SACs Commencing

Unit 1 and Unit 3 SACs are beginning. Students should ensure they are aware of their assessment dates and are preparing well in advance. Students will be notified of SAC dates no later than a week prior to the due date/assessment date.

Students are encouraged to plan their study time carefully, revise consistently, and seek support from their teacher if needed prior to the SAC date.

Class of 2026 Jumpers – Second & Final Order

If students missed the first order and would still like to purchase a Class of 2026 Jumper, this is the final opportunity to do so.

Orders can be placed via: https://www.reformclothing.com/au/order/12012234539

Orders close midnight, Wednesday 18 February.

Swimming Carnival - Friday 21 February

The School Swimming Carnival will be held on Friday 21 February. This is a school-based event, and all students are expected to attend.

Students are encouraged to show their House spirit by dressing in their House colours:

  • Everard – Yellow

  • Pakana – Blue

  • Skipper – Green

  • Toner – Red

This is always a highlight of Term 1 and a wonderful opportunity for students to build House pride, connect with peers and demonstrate positive school spirit.

Please ensure students have parent/guardian consent to attend the event.

Elevate Education – Study Sensei Seminar

On Monday 16 February, Year 10 students attended the Study Sensei seminar delivered by Elevate Education.

The session focused on using the syllabus to guide study, organising and reviewing effective notes, developing deep conceptual understanding, making the most of practice exams, and building independent learning habits. Students engaged positively and reflected on practical strategies they can implement straight away.

We encourage families to continue these conversations at home to help students establish strong study routines early in the year.

Welcome to all Senior School students and families as we begin the 2026 school year. It has been a successful and positive start, with students settling into routines and engaging well in their learning.
