Year 4 Inquiry Investigations

In Year 4, students have been exploring our Inquiry Investigations Big Idea “I Am Me”, guided by the big question: What parts make up me?

Through this learning, students are developing an understanding of themselves as unique individuals and learning how to care for their own health and wellbeing, as well as that of others.

Students used a range of activities to discuss our guiding questions:

  • What does good health and wellbeing look like?
  • How can we look after our bodies, minds and emotions?
  • What are some ways to recognise and manage our feelings?
  • How do kindness and empathy help support others in our community?

Students also took part in hands-on activities to explore what makes them unique, including examining their fingerprints and using mirrors to observe their facial features. These experiences helped them understand that everyone is special and different, even though we may share similarities.

You can support this learning at home by talking with your child about their feelings, encouraging healthy routines, and modelling kindness in everyday situations.
