Welcome back to the start of a new school year! A special welcome to all our new families. We are thrilled to have you join our vibrant learning community.

The Mandarin Language Program at BEPS is designed to provide a fun and immersive experience, helping students build their language skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture. This year, Mandarin classes will take place in Room 32.

Each week, students will enjoy a 50-minute Mandarin lesson filled with interactive activities, storytelling, songs and movement. Our goal is to create a supportive space where students feel confident trying out Mandarin and connecting it to their everyday learning.

This term, we will focus on the big idea, “I am Me”.  Students will learn how to introduce themselves, talk about their hobbies, express their likes and dislikes, and discover traditional Chinese festivals including the history and meaning behind the celebrations. They will also practise Chinese character strokes and work on forming characters correctly.

We are also proud to introduce our 2026 Languages Captains, Paige and Rainier. As student leaders, they play an important role in promoting Mandarin learning across the school.
