Principal's News

Mr Brian Anderson

Principal

Dear Parents & Carers,

Welcome back to Term 2!

The recent days of rain and dreary weather have evoked a sense of home for me, reminiscent of Scotland. Let's hope for drier days ahead, allowing our children to enjoy the fresh air outdoors.

The Month of May

May is dedicated to Our Lady in our church calendar, a tradition we honour by dedicating

this month to prayer and seeking Our Lady's intercession.

We invite you to join us in praying the rosary every Thursday morning at 8:35 am in the Kindergarten classrooms.

In the upcoming weeks, many children in Year 3 will receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers during this significant milestone in their lives.

Our New Building and playground

Progress continues on our new creative and performing centre, with hopes of utilising the facilities by the end of July. Take a moment to explore the plans for the new slide in the primary playground.

Uniform

A reminder that children should be in full winter school uniform starting Monday 13th

 May.

The uniform shop will be open Every Friday at 8:15am.

Green winter jackets are available for purchase from Lowes. Please ensure that your child's jacket adheres to the SFX uniform colours. Additionally, boys should wear their ties on days full uniform is required.  Girls should wear their mini ties with their pinafore.

Instilling the importance of wearing the correct uniform prepares our students for their future years in systemic and independent Catholic schools.

Principal Award Assembly

Congratulations to the recipients of the first Principal Award assembly! Witnessing the pride in the children's faces was truly heart warming for the staff and myself. We look forward to two award assemblies every term this year.

Friends of Francis Meeting

Our termly Friends of Francis meeting will take place in the Kindergarten room on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 pm. During this gathering, I will provide an update on our achievements thus far and share plans for the school in the coming months.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data

Since my return, I have been revising some school processes, one of which is how we

 support our Diverse learning students.

This is to ensure we streamline approaches and collaboration between home and school.  Mrs Barbera, Ms Huang and Mrs Menin now work with teachers to oversee collaboration with families and support teachers with the administration.

If you have any questions regarding the Nationally consistent Collection of Data, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Stay dry this weekend and mums, make sure you have a wonderful weekend

Thank you for your continued support.

Brian
