Art Club!

Remember that Art Club is running during lunchtimes in ART3 on the following days: 

Yr7-10 Art Club day is Wednesday and VCE Art Club is Thursday.

 

Come along to create some artworks, meet other creative students, and have fun!

You can spend time in Art Club working on entries to the Art competitions we have been promoting too!

 

Kingston Youth Art Expo 2024!

 Kingston Youth are promoting their annual student art Competition, the theme this year is 'Dream Big'.

Can you create an artwork in response to that theme?

Prizes to be won, anyone can enter!

Year 8 Art - Ceramics

Year 8 Students have been busy developing their knowledge and skills in Ceramics design and construction whilst working on their second CAT. Students have been challenged to design and construct a functional pot using the slab construction method! 

In the Kiln Room!

The Ceramics Kiln has been very busy lately with both Year 11 Art CP and Year 11 VM Art CP making coil pots inspired by the artist Greyson Perry, students have been experimenting with using stained Slip and the sgraffito technique. Year 9 ceramics students have been busy making pots inspired by the Hermannsburg Potters. 

Year 8 Community Art Elective - Mosaics

Students have been creating throughout the Semester works which can be displayed in our school environment. Students are currently in the process of finalising mosaic pots which will be combined together to create larger sculpture pieces to be situated in the school gardens. They are looking fabulous so far!

Year 7 Art - Painting

Students have been working on their Painting CAT - exploring the work of Artist Julian Opie and learning how to correctly mix colours in order to create their own inspired self portrait.
