Junior Soccer Game 1

The Mazenod College Junior Soccer Team played their first game of the Champion Schools Football Cup season playing away at Lynwood SHS. Both were schools looking to get their seasons off to a good start in the regional pennant’s competition. The game was a back-and-forth contest with both teams creating several chances throughout the first 10 minutes of the match. However, Mazenod took control of the game heading into the halftime break with a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, Mazenod utilized the wingers, running out convincing winners 6-1. The team would like to thank all the parents who came down to help and support the team. Congratulations to L Raschella who scored a hat trick, L Hughes with 2 and D McGillvray who scored 1. The team's next game is against Kalamunda SHS on Tuesday 30th April at Mazenod.

Basketball ACC Junior

On Wednesday 24 April, the Mazenod Junior ACC Basketball Team travelled to Kennedy Baptist to play in a wildcard knockout final for the ACC Basketball Championship. The game was a tough outing for the team with Kennedy running out winners. The loss ends the campaign for the team and they would like to thank Mr Alexander and Mr Amundsen for coaching the team.

2nd 18 Football

The 2nd 18 Football season started this week with Mazenod hosting Eastern Hills SHS. The game was a great contest to start the season with, coming down to the wire in a tense finish with Eastern Hills running out 3-point winners. It was a tough result for the team who will look to bounce back next week against Swan Christian.
