Principal's Report

Many thanks to our SRC members, Sophie, Mac, Amalie, Kobe, Jarrah and Sam, for their representation of our school at last week's ANZAC Day ceremony.  Our thanks also to everyone who contributed plant material for our

ANZAC Day floral tribute, and to the students in year 3/4, who worked together to use these donations to create the sheaths. 

Yesterday, our students were treated to a visit from Stig, the narrator of Andy Griffith's Treehouse books.  Through his entertaining and often cheeky presentation, Stig brought to life the crazy antics of Andy, Terry and Jill through his narrating of some of the stories and 'special' interviews.  This created lots of laughter and student engagement, as well highlighting just how many of our students are familiar with the books.  Stig also used this time to promote the importance of reading and listening to books being read.  All students were given a card that will grant them free access to the BorrowBox app, using their library ID.  For assistance with accessing BorrowBox, please speak to Audrey at the library.

Tomorrow, we will have our first Friday Assembly for the term.  Please note that due to building works, this event will be held in the undercover area.

Thanks to Andy Shuttleworth and Alison Kennett, this term all classes will have the opportunity to participate in four tennis clinics that target skill development.  Andy is also offering external coaching, through the tennis club.  For more information about how your child can be involved, please refer to our community notices.

Last term, all students were provided information regarding the annual NAIDOC Week colouring and poetry competition.  We encourage everyone to get involved in this event.  If required, additional copies of the colouring sheet, may be collected from the office.

Reminder: State Schools Relief is now offering eligible Prep families, the opportunity to apply for a uniform package.  Families who qualify for the CSEF Camps and Excursions fund, automatically qualify for the package.  For further information, please contact the office or  visit the SSR website.
