Week 2

After another challenging week due to the weather, it was fantastic to have the matches that we were able to play given the conditions of the grounds. This allowed us to see the pride and passion of the SPC community in full force. Year 5 Supporters’ Day created a fantastic atmosphere for both the First XV and Second XV on Breen Oval. The cheering along with the hard work and preparation that the First XV have been putting in led to an absolutely fantastic performance from them, proving far too strong for local rivals Trinity Grammar School. The Scientia Building was shaking due to all the chants, applause, and praise from the youngest members of our community.

Friday Night Lights

This week the First XV, Second XV and 15As will be playing on Friday night at Andrew Petrie Oval in Woollahra up against Cranbrook School. This will be a great opportunity for all involved and will add to the excitement of our Rugby fixtures this week. The 16’s kick- off at 5:00 PM, Seconds at 6:00 PM and the First XV at 7:15 PM. As much of the SPC community coming to support would be fantastic as there will already be a fantastic atmosphere.

NSWCIS

This week we have had many boys representing the College at NSWCIS, Jack Taylor and Nicholas Macher competed in NSWCIS Swimming, while Sebastian Natalegawa, Vincent Pappalardo and Anthony del Popolo all competed at NSWCIS Diving. As always, best of luck to those boys and we look forward to hearing how they go! Hamish Britten of Year 11 will be trialing for NSWCIS Basketball next week, having already represented in ISA. Best of luck Hamish!
