Cross Country

On Tuesday 30 April, The Gap SHS sent a powerful team of over 60 students to participate in the 2024 District Cross Country event held at Teralba Park. Our school had some outstanding results, and we are thrilled to congratulate all of our athletes for their hard work and dedication. We placed 3rd overall in a very competitive field, which is a testament to the effort and commitment of our students. We would like to give a special shoutout to our athletes who will be competing at the regional event in less than two weeks. We are confident that they will represent our school with pride and bring back some excellent results. Congratulations once again to all of our students who took part in the Cross Country event.

Year 9 Gala Day

We are excited to announce that our Year 9 Gala Day is taking place on the 16 May at the South Pine Sports Complex. This event is a great opportunity for all Year 9 students to enjoy a day of competitive sports, fun, and movement. We have several sports on offer, including

  • Boys and Girls Beach Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Netball
  • Boys and Girls Futsal
  • Touch football

To participate, Year 9 students have received a Microsoft Forms survey via email where they can select their preferred activity and sign up with a group of friends. The day will include a round-robin-style tournament against other high schools in our district. Permission for the event will be provided through the Q Parents App.

Please check Q Parents for further details. Students who choose not to participate will have a normal school day with their regular classes. We look forward to seeing our Year 9 students take part in this exciting event and showcase their sportsmanship and teamwork skills.

FUTSAL

It's an exciting day for our 14-year-old girls and boys teams as they compete in the 2nd round of the Summit Cup FUTSAL championship. The sports hall is buzzing with energy as we host Loganlea SHS today. We wish our teams the best of luck and hope they give it their all!
