ANZAC Day

25 April

On Wednesday 24 April, Marangaroo Primary School held our annual ANZAC service.

We had the privilege of welcoming Mr Peter Jackson, a returned serviceman from Vietnam, who address our students.

Many staff wore medals belonging to their family members, showing a sign of respect for their service and dedication.

Our student leaders did a wonderful job conducting the service and displaying respect.  We thank Layla, Kayla, Noah, and Jaxon for their hard work.  Thank you also to Emma (Yr 6) for her wonderful photography skills.

Mr Tomlinson was fantastic conducting our school choir, who sang beautifully, thank you to all members of the choir.  We thank Mrs Barr, for her hard work completing displays around the school (in her own time), and Mrs Boardman for reciting the “Ode of Remembrance”.  Mr Bagnall addressed the proceedings and laid a wreath with our guest and student leaders.

The students at Marangaroo Primary School, demonstrated respect for the service, whilst listening carefully and sitting for long periods of time.  Thank you everyone for the amazing way you all conducted yourself and showed respect for all our servicepersons, past and present.

LEST WE FORGET!
