Number: The children will continue to consolidate their understanding of numbers to 10 and extend this by working with numbers to 20. Their learning will include counting forwards and backwards from different starting points, matching numbers to collections and looking at number patterns. They will learn to describe the position of an object using ordinal number (1st 2nd 3rd), represent addition stories and learn to problem solve. Students will use different materials to model simple addition stories.

Measurement: In measurement, students will continue learning about the days of the week, months of the year and seasons. Students will also be learning about 2D and 3D shapes and their attributes. They will learn how to measure, compare and order length, weight and capacity using informal units.
